HO-8910PM cell line was established by Xu Shen-hua et al in 1998.After a highly metastasizing human ovarian cancer model in nude mice had been successfully established by inoculating cultured human ovarian cancer cells HO-8910 into subcutaneous tissue of nude mice ,a highly metastasizing cell line HO-8910PM was established from the tumor mass of a nude mouse of 7th subtransplantation.When cell line grew well through 87 passage, the cell doubling time was 34.5hr,the mitotic index was 44.3% and the plating efficiency in soft agar was 31.2%. After hetero-transplantation of the cells into three nude mice all of the latter showed tumor growth with matastasis in lung or lymph nodes
